Nairobi Tour Overview

On this short safari, you'll discover Amboseli National Park, in southern Kenya, which is known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania. Observation Hill offers panorama views of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps. Varied wildlife includes giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and the Big Five, as well as hundreds of bird species. The western section is dominated by the vast Lake Amboseli, which is dry outside of the rainy season.

Nairobi Tour Itinerary

Day 1

Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

Pick up from Nairobi hotel or Airport in the early morning. Depart Nairobi for Amboseli National Park, a drive of less than 5 hours to Amboseli, which lies at the floors of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will arrive with a short game drive, proceeding to your lodge for check-in and have lunch. Check in at your hotel. Later afternoon more game drives. Mount Kilimanjaro offers scenic backgrounds for photography Elephants, Lions, Cheetah, and Buffalo can be seen at the swamp area.

Day 2

Explore Amboseli National Park

It's time for one of the great safari experiences, a guided game drive through Amboseli. You'll search for elephants, lions, and plenty of other wildlife, and maybe even the clouds parting over Mt Kilimanjaro for fantastic views. You'll return to the lodge for lunch as you wait for another afternoon game drive. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at your lodge.
